Delivery Survival Guide: What's Open & Not During CNY
Chinese New Year is just about here, and you know what that means: problems finding delivery places that will still be open. No worries, here’s a list of places you can use during CNY who will bring whatever you need right to your door! Enjoy, and happy year of the rooster!
1. SUPERMARKET
Fields (www.fieldschina.com), will have an adjusted delivery schedule of one or two times a day (they normally do 4 every day). They will also only be operating in Shanghai. Dairy, vegetables, snacks, frozen food… all packed in one and ready to make its way to your door.
Epermarket (www.epermarket.com) will be operating for a half day on January 27th (1-4pm for delivery). They are closed on the 28th and 29th , but will be open the 30th onward.
Kate & Kimi (www.kateandkimi.com) will be closed from January 27th to the 29th.
Carrefour delivery service will be closed from January 27th until February 3rd in Pudong, and January 27th until February 1st in Puxi.
2. DINNER/LUNCH DELIVERY
Sherpas, Mealbay and Elema will still be open but some of the restaurants they deliver from may not be, check with the restaurant or APP to find out before ordering.
3. WINE & LIQUORS
Drink Kuaidi and Auchanwines will be delivering during CNY. So will Bottles Xo, but we should give them a special shout out because it's the marketing team who will be delivering during CNY.
4. CAKES/PIES
Dutch pie will be closed January 28th to February 3rd. Pies are around RMB130, and you need to call them at least 24 hours in advance.
5. LAUNDRY & DRY CLEANING
SPQwash (http://spawashchina.com/SpaWash) will be closed from January 27th until the 31st. Laundry Express (http://laundryex.com) is closed from January 26th until February 2nd.
6. FRUITS & VEGETABLES
Organic farm in Pudong since 2004, BIOfarm will not be delivering from January 28th- February 2nd. GOMA Green will also suspend services because the farmers are getting some well deserved rest.
7. CHEESE
Cheese Republic is closed January 27th- February 3.
Maison Traiteur told us they really, really want to stay open, but they’re still in the process of finding a willing courier. We’ll provide an update once they let us know but you can always call to ask if you’re dying for cheese: 021 61679503.
Le Fromager De Pekin (http://www.lefromagerdepekin.com) is already on holiday in Beijing.
